Waldorf Doll Shoes

I hand-stitched some little wool felt shoes for Annabel’s waldorf doll, Nora.

Waldorf Doll Shoes

aren’t they sweet? The shoe pattern, felt, and red & white striped socks are all from Weir Dolls & Crafts in Ann Arbor, MI. Everything that makes up Annabel’s favorite doll has come from this shop, they have  the best doll-making supplies and such friendly service! My only change to the pattern was to add little snaps for the strap, hidden behind the button – instead of cutting a buttonhole with my scissors. The three piece pattern was easy enough that Annabel could have made them herself, and we are going to work on some moccasins next!

Those are pretty darn adorable. I’ve considered making a waldorf doll for both my girls, but I worry I’d get one done and not want to do the second. ;)

the head was the hardest part to make, if I was going to make another one I would just buy a pre-made head – They sell them at Weir Dolls & Crafts!: http://www.weirdollsandcrafts.com/waldorf-dollmaking-supplies/waldorf-doll-heads.html
