Stop SOPA/PIPA Protests

Or, why I am proud to be an American…

We joined a few of our favorite sites (Wikipedia, Craigslist, Etsy, Minecraft, Reddit, Flickr & many many more) in the black-out yesterday to protest two very fucked up pieces of internet censorship legislation trying to make their way through congress right now. Censorship is un-American, un-Constitutional, and just plain ass Wrong.

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

The dominos are falling, and these bills are quickly losing support after our action. But, we’re not done! They’re still trying to get these beasts through. If you’d like to join us and 4 million others in asserting our rights as American citizens defenders of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights – address your grievances to your representatives in congress.

We ARE the people, and our government works for Americans. Not Democrats, not Republicans – AMERICANS. Let’s help them remember.
