Coyote Craft pretty useful things from Bean

Warm Heads, Happy Hearts

Tom Leech
1953-2006

Starting this year, in my dad’s memory, I will be running an annual winter warm-up drive for handmade hats, scarves, mittens, etc… anything you can think to make, that would warm up someone’s heart on a cold winter night. My daddy Tom had wanderlust, and he was homeless for over 20 years before he was tragically killed in a hit and run accident on January 27, 2006 in Forth Worth, Texas.

These items will be distributed to homeless men, women & children here in Reno, Nevada and in Forth Worth, Texas – where my dad traveled to often. Gloves and mittens are especially needed and helpful when forced to sleep outside in the colder months.

Free Patterns Available Online

Due to overwhelming need, I will continue to distribute items through mid-January 2009.

This is so perfect. Creator is working double-time today, I swear. The first blog I read was about a free mitten pattern offered only if you promise to make a pair for someone in need, and now I read this. Cool beans (haha.. no pun intended). I am definitely in.

This is a great idea!
My crochet skills aren't that fast, but I'm sure I could sew a few things too.
